Default Linn Majik 1 amp spares/repair where?

My Linn Majik amp has developed a fault, the volume keeps fading for a sec
then comes back only to be one notch lower. This keeps happening until the
volume is down to 9 then it stays there.
Seems to be a fault in the control chip, if I set the volume and then pull
off the connecter to the the control board then the volume will stay at that
level. Anyone know if this would be an expensive part and if it is available
anywhere?

cheers

I'm sorry Tank, everyone's a bit tied up on the usual 'Vinyl Vs CD' crapola
and kicking Arny Kruger's bull****ting arse atm - could you try a proper
*audio* newsgroup? I'm sure they'll be able to help you; I'm afraid I
can't - I don't know Linn stuff myself!

Ooh, do I get to wear a Cato mask?

While you're on, have a look at my new (temporary) **120 inch** cinema
screen setup:

Thass *big* innit?

(Picture width is 92.5" !! :-)

(Note 'American Idol' on the telly - you wouldn't think a Psychology MA
would bother with it, would you?? :-)

Resolution on that first one is excellent. How did you get them to
film inside your house and project it so accurately it seems to line
up?
