Get Phil on a good day and he's an excellent source of

+1 on that....

That fact has never been in doubt. But, his exhibiting
the
social graces of a raccoon grealy diastracts from what
he
has to say.

Iain, he's not right (obviously) - exploiting his
condition to make
oneself look good is cowardly and pathetic. Even worse in
a 'gang bang' -
think Looser, Pucci and, sadly, Don as well as any number
of occasional,
inconsequential 'blow-ins' who feel there's safety in
numbers....

I don't see it like that. What we are now seeing on UKRA
has
been seen frequently on other groups where PA has a
presence..
In my view, Phil has been treated with remarkable
restraint by
one and all, both in the UK and elsewhere.

Hear! Hear!

It is true, he does have wide knowledge

Yes, Google is very helpful ;-) And when you sit alone in
your rented bed-sit all day it fills in the time quite well
it would seem ;-)

and experienence,

He only ever had one job 30 years ago and he was sacked from
that! His limited experience is from tinkering with verge
collection trash and old guitar amps.

and every now and again comes up with something of great
interest.

You've got me there Iain, I can't think of anything - ever!
Although I will grant you he does attempt the occasional
troll so he can start a fight.

That's why I for one, am reluctant to killfile him,.

As with any nasty disease/pest/animal/insect that you can't
eradicate, I like to know where it is and what it is
infecting so I can keep it at bay and warn others of its
potential dangers ;-)

But on the other hand, you know in advance that to post
a reply in a thread where he has a presence, is asking
for
a tirade of malediction and insults. Is it worth it???

He will *always* with in 3 posts start the abuse! And
beware if you are female or have any qualifications as it
goes straight for the jugular ;-) As you well know Iain ;-)

What everyone loses sight of is you are trying to
communicate with a genuinely damaged individual. IMHO he
has forgone all considerations of decency until he actively
seeks professional treatment for his Bipolar (and what ever
else he suffers from) condition.

Answers on a postcard pleased to:

Perplexed of Plymouth.
PO Box 666.

Interesting "666" the mark of the Devil ;-)

Cheers Terry

I am thinking about a discussion on transformers, in which
Phil provided some very interesting data. But as usual, the
thread disintegrated when after about three posts, he was
no longer able to discuss in a rational way. This is a great
pity, as it destroys his own credibility, and reflects badly on
the group where he is posting.

Something that baffles me is his pride in claiming to have
"destroyed" this or that group, which is of course, purely
a figment of imagination. People simply carry on the
discussion "offlist" by e-mail, until the waters have calmed
a little -and so the group discussion appears to have dwindled.

** Read the thread again - ****WIT.

Was clearly not me that made such a claim.

You said this:

"I stopped & the NG collapsed."

Looks like a pretty solid claim of destruction to me.
