Wow! Nice speakers!

Met them working part time in Sevenoaks Hi-Fi in 1987.

But they REALLY look like SP2s!

I ended up buying SP1s in about 1988.

You sure - they looked a little like tweeter at the bottom Tannoys or
Missions to my untrained eye.

Not that I noticed :-)

A TV sitcom.

The 'google' search engine will reveal more.

Pretty sure the tweeters were at the top, and off-centre.

Port holes at the bottom. But if I see the repeat, I'll study them more
closely.

The bass units are very distinctive, which drew my attention to them.

"Yes, you'd love to get some of that bass reflex port action, wouldn't
you, Jez? Well, they're MINE, so keep your grubby nether regions away
from them!" etc...

This is the best I can get from the 4oD thingy:

You need to watch it from the beginning. It's both coarse and intellectual
with the gimmick that the viewer hears what the characters are thinking.
I had the complete set on DVD until the buggers made a sixth series.

I was just about to ask that!

I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who has no idea. :-)
