'Digital Denial'

Definition: the tendancy and/or practice to deny there are advantages in the
latest 'hi-res digital HD' audio and video advances.

Typical scenarios: CD vs. SACD; DD vs. HD Audio; DVD Video vs. Bluray;
Ordinary 625 PAL UHF vs. HDTV (apparently - no experience myself)

We know *who* they are, we know *why* they are, we know *what* they are....

;-)

You mean like preferring scratchy old LPs to nice clean CDs?

No, like people who can't tell the difference between DD stereo and 'HD
multichannel' movie soundtracks because they only run broken freebie,
junk/legacy DSPs or can't see the *night and day* difference between 1920 x
1080 Bluray and 720 x 576 (or even only720 x 480 in the US) video
resolution because they are only using a 14 inch portable telly...

;-)
