It's Denon's famous RJ45 ethernet link cable.

What kind of PR is this for an otherwise reputable brand?

I loved the "What do customers ultimately buy after viewing this
item"...30% buy the same thing, but at $3.14..... Also, you can buy one
used at 5 times the price,.....must be the premium for burning it
in.....or one "refurbished" at twice the price..
I think taking the **** on stuff like this is healthy, and shows that
not everybody is taken in by the hype, especially on a site like Amazon,
which is inhabited by civilians rather than just audio casualties. I
agree though, that for an otherwise reputable brand like Denon, it does
their reputation no good.

However, this is an old story that goes back a few years at least and
Denon have been hauled up before by the provebials by the press for
essentially dressing up and flogging a gardern quality RJ45 lead with
hyperbole.
The 'Denon Link' connections look to be made perfectly with a standard
straight Cat5e patch lead, the LVDS pairs are carried on the right
100-ohm impedence paired conductors used in T568A (and T568B) cabling
standards. I'd understand if they chose their own proprietary
conventions on that - but seems they didn't.

Most of the cracks on Amazon are the same ones that eventually end tied
up with a discussion on golden ears and speaker cables, but this one is
different - it's marketing at it's worst. Even Belkin don't go this far.

If I were Denon, I'd withdraw the product and maybe talk about offering
some of its customers some compensation. People aren't idiots.
