Default Tannoy Speaker Cloth

I have a lovely old pair of 12inch Tannoy monitor golds in original Tannoy
cabinets. The sound wonderful except for one thing. The speaker grill
cloth has 'relaxed' and buzzes on loud bass notes. Ideally I would just
like to remove the cloth completely but I cannot work out how to get the
front of the speaker off to do this. Anyone had any experience with these
speakers?

Try warming it gently and evenly - most speaker grilles are made of 'Tygan'
which is designed to shrink slightly with heating.

You probably still need to remove the grill and cloth.
Best to keep heat away from your Monitor Golds.

I just tried the hairdryer trick but it does not seem to work. So an nidea
how to remove the cloth. There seems to be no way to get the front baffle
off. Is it glued in place?
