Quite so, but a duvet works a lot lower than a piece of terry

Can't comment on "terry towelling" as I've never tried it. Ditto for
"wherever". But I find that both rugs and heavy curtains hung at
least a few inches from the wall actually work quite well. And look
much better than a duvet. :-)
Tapestries, chaps. One should be using tapestries.
It's no good trying to explain the finer points of audio to the hoi
polloi.
Yes, there are people you end up deciding it isn't worth trying to have a
conversation with. But for me the vital factor is the way they want to turn
everything into a teenage/playground argument they can 'win' by being
obnoxious, patronising, and abusive. Not a label like "hoi polloi" as that
can be just another form of patronising name calling as a substitute for
informed discussion. So I wouldn't use their hanging a duvet on the wall as
an excuse for giving up on someone. :-)
I never give up on people, even the duvet hangers and retarded Americans,
however I wasn't sure if Wally would be aware that [incredibly] some of the
posters here may not have tapestries available to hang on their walls. [The poor
underprivileged bastids].
