ahem By all means write to the editor and let him know. :-) I doubt he
will pay me any extra as a result, but it may encourage him to have more
material of the kind I tend to write and prefer.
As I've said on this newsgroup before, the magazine tends to decide what
topics to cover, what approach, and what 'depth' (in technical terms) to
aim for partly on the basis of reader feedback. So comments to the magazine
about what topics/levels/authors/approachs you prefer may help shift the
balance of the content in the direction you prefer.
FWIW I'll be adding some more software sometime soon, and there will be an
item about this in HFN in a while.
