Not specifically for Hitachi, but Maplin keep a reasonable supply of
square section belts. Just measure the diameter. They have (in
millimetres) 19, 30, 35, 46, 66 and 75.5

And proper electronic spares shops have a much larger selection, in a
variety of section shapes.

They are very much in business. Try to google them?

Hitachi is actually a conglomerate of sorts. The cassette machine is a
product of a member of that conglomerate.

That all said, you may find that Hitachi no longer sells replacement parts,
and you may have to find a generic equivalent.

Yes, Maxell is a Hitachi brand.

In the US I most frequently see the Hitachi brand on power tools for sale.
That tells you that I spend much more time in home improvement superstores
than audio salons. ;-)
