These are full-range ribbon panel speakers. Spare parts are available
from a company still making similar ribbons and servicing the old
Apogees, so you won't be stuck for ribbons, not that they wear out.

The delicacy, detail and clarity of these speakers are stunning. I
would keep them except I no longer have the space. My son is growing
up and has a girlfriend and their stuff takes up more and more of the
flat. There we are - compromise and smaller speakers up against the
wall. Ah well.....

Apogee ribbons don't come up often, and this is a good chance to get a
pair.
