already telephoned them, and they no longer do spares for that item, i
have seen 352 speakers on ebay albeit with one of the pr faulty, much
cheaper if i take that route, think i will bid for one of many
attractive bargain that come up quite often but in no hurry i am
coupled up to a pr of Harbeth HL-P3es fantastic speakers but have to
watch the volume some of my music is very bass heavy and i have heard
them pop once

If one of a pair has already failed, you can be reasonably sure that
the other is not too far behind it. I really wouldn't go that way.

fair point, haven't thought of that, another reason to go for a shinny
almost new ebay upgrade

YMMV.

In the early 90s I had to replace a woofer with a rubbing voice coil in one
of a pair of Boston Acoustics CR-9s.

I'm using them to this day, every day.

when speaker is removed a i thought i spotted the problem a slightly
lifted dustcap which i reseated with some evo impact adhesive but not
before i had moved the cone in /out trying to detect any rubbing, all
appeared to be ok,reseated dustcap checked the spider seating at the
back but no success some we win some we .......lost cause
hey ho
