Sodding Outlook is vetting my posts! Probably wouldn't let me append this
one because I'm bragging a little bit! :-)

Anyway, that's yer lot - my (digital) projector's burning away...

And here's a shot of the Acer Revo computer's screensaver:

(Note the turntable below centre for scale - 6' wide image in my room!)

Cracking little machines - perfect for WMP, iPlayer, You Tube &c. but I
believe the spec of the latest ones whilst still ample is down on the two I
have got and there's a new 'multimedia' model out (Acer Revo 100) which I
know nothing about other than the spec is up but it is twice the price.
Google cures all ills...

:-)

Given the number of free and better browsers out there it's a bit like
complaining about dreadful LP quality after CD came out...

Doh, Look at wiki.

"Windows Mail is an e-mail and newsgroup client included in Windows
Vista"

As the thread was originated by Keith because he was having
difficulties posting to the group and, as you so kindly point out; was
posted with Windows Mail; I think we can safely assume that he is using
it as a newsgroup client.

I like a good argument, this isn't one.

You actually know the difference? There's a surprise.

I'm actually quite proud I don't.

The purpose of my post wasn't to complain about newsreaders (or whatever)
but, seeing as I already had the image on my webpage for other purposes, to
post a 'heads up' showing these dinky little computers which, IME, make
superb little music and cinema centres. They are so small they can be
clipped on the back of the monitor, as in this second, 'projected'
screenshot:

http://www.moirac.adsl24.co.uk/shown...creenshot2.JPG

Personally, for navigating music, picture and video files I can't be doing
with anything less than a full PC display, however small and a proper
keyboard and mouse - which you will notice on the Revo are both *wireless*.

There are other makes and models like:

Acer Aspire Revo R3700 Desktop

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/236579

Zotac MAG Nettop PC

http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/zotac-m...c-07-10-2009/#

And other tiny PCs that I don't know too much about, some with Blu-ray
drives built-in, I believe:

http://www.fit-pc.com/web/?gclid=CLr...FQwf4QodigpBYg

http://www.slashgear.com/asrock-ion-...view-3154410/#

And any number of 'barebone' models from Foxconn like:

http://www.foxconnchannel.com/produc...535/index.html

Ain't it a lovely, tiny little world we live in?

(I always say you can't beat *digital*!! ;-)

Basically netbooks in micro-desktop drag with no screen. They definately
have a place as modern desktops are immensely overpowered for what most of
us do most of the time.

Of course you don't, because you're a silly, silly little twerp.
