Keith,
I'm now having problems similar to you. I can post new messages but not
reply.
Are you using eternal-september and did you manage to get it sorted?
If so what did you do?
Regards

Hi David!

Yes I am still using eternal-september and no I didn't do anything to try
and sort it out. It seems like it's the long thread length that throws it
and therefore mostly to be at 'their end', so I haven't!

If I get a post refused I either cut & paste it into a new post or bin it,
depending on the content (i.e. how utterly trivial it is) and how much
typing it took!

Sorry I'm not much help! :-)

Well, go on then!

OK, sorry - I meant to say it's mostly likely to be at their end, so I
haven't bothered to fiddle about with my machine.

It's not like the posts are *important* or anything - I've just had another
'baulk at the fence'!! :-)

I've got aioe and eternal-september here (both free) and haven't noticed
this problem with either. But I don't use a PC to read news.

Well, are you saying it just does not appear, gets rejected, or posts as a
new thread? If you knew how long the thread had to be to do it maybe you
could simply post to an earlier post in the same thread, but replace any
quotes with the ones you were going to include instead of the ones in the
message you are actually adding to.

The message simply doesn't go when I hit 'Send and Receive All', but I think
I have noticed summat new - they do go if you leave them for a while and
retry..??
