Interesting that the 'live' stream still worked for Last Night using
the 'old' version of Flash. I guess the BBC hadn't got around to
changing that by POETS Day. :-)
Did you get the full Dolby, or just the stereo?
It would be news to me that R3 were streaming 'Dolby'. So I'm not sure what
you mean, I'm afraid.

Sorry, didn't mean R3. The TV coverage was Dolby.

Do you mean just on 'HD TV'? So far as I know, the (SD) TV sound is
normally stereo.
And do you mean the 'Dolby' matrix into stereo, or genuine 'Dolby Digital'?
I know the BBC have been experimenting with 'surround sound' for TV. But it
isn't something I've taken much personal interest in.

Given most broadcasters can't even get the levels right between progs and
continuity perhaps they could learn to walk before running?

Full Dolby digital on HD TV. Very good it was too. Quite unlike the
"effects" Dolby you hear on films, of course - this was done properly.

Thanks. I'll make some enquiries about that. However my own listening and
focus tends to remain on stereo. May change at some future point, of
course!
Makes me wonder, though. If someone uses an HD BD Video recorder, can they
record such events with the full 'Dolby' sound? And is the resulting disc
then accessible using a computer with a BD drive OK? Or have the copyright
'suits' tried to make this impossible?
