BBC online aac stream sampling rate move

Hi everyone.

Has anyone noticed that the sampling rate of the BBC on-line aac streams
has moved from 44,100 kHz to 32,000 kHz?
The bit rate however is still the same (128kbit/s except radio 3,
320kbit/s).
Anyone with an explanation?

At 128 kbps it might actually sound better, because no bits are needed
to code signals above 16 kHz. At 320 kbps there is no reason to go to
lower sampling rates to save bits.

They are shown as 44.1 here as are the WMA streams.

The aac streams I tried just now also show as 44.1k sample rate. I checked
live R3 and R4, and a 'listen again' R4 item. All showed as 44.1k.
