Am having some problems with Audax HD13D34H tweeters. Both are exhibiting
annoying resonances at around 2.5kHz. On some material it doesn't show
much - on others it's very nasty.

They come apart easily and replacement diaphragms/voice coil assemblies
are available, so I bought some despite the originals looking ok. No
improvment. Only obvious thing is the foam 'dome' glued to the magnet
centre - which has disintegrated. What is the purpose of this? If it's the
cause of the problems, any guesses about making a new one - Falcon doesn't
list it as a spare.
