Default Behringer USB C-1U microphone.

Probably good for measuring the noise level of a motorcycle exhaust
or taping to the bell of a saxophone.
Has anyone else here tried one and got it to work on speech at a normal
level?

Even with the gain set to max, normal speech is at about -50dB,
only slightly higher than the noise floor.
And in typical Behringer fashion, the manual is crap.

I don't know if the volume control is purely digital or if the driver
can control the gain of the analogue preamp stage before the A/D converter.
In which case I might have a driver problem.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious....
