JLH came out with a few mods to it later which improved its
stability and particularly its d.c. offset drift. I think I
have that too if you want it.

Talk about an old thread. ;-)

But while we're at it, mine has taken to go into oscillation (sometimes)
triggered by say a light being switched on or off in the same room. What I
hear sounds like mains hum, on both channels. Switching it off and on
again sorts it. Another weird fault. ;-)

Looks pretty typical of that era - quasi complementary, direct coupled, low
bias class AB.

The VI limiter ( Q7, Q8) has me worried, where are the reverse diodes to
prevent C-B conduction of the limiters and where are the flyback catching
diodes across the output devices ??
