Default cheap second hand amp reccomendation for 2nd system

Hi,is as a basis for a second system.

I have a second TV with a cheap DVD player in use. I would like to
improve the sound and also use them as a second system, so am looking
to build a Stereo system to play DVD/CD's through. I have a pair of
Gennexa LX5 speakers not in use. I'm interested in reccomendations for
cheap (i.e £50 ) amps that can be found second hand or ebay.

I had thought of something classic like a Roger Cadet III or Sugden
A21, but what other contenders exist ? A & RA60 ? NAD 3020 ? Musical
Fidelity A1 ?

ideally I'd like this to be robust and happy to be left on.

Any advice appreciated

FWIW, if you are looking for a cheap amp that is happy to be left on for
long periods, I would suggest you forget ALL of the above and direct your
search towards a tidy Jap amp of somewhere between 30 and 45 wpc. Possibly
Technics, Rotel, Sony, Yamaha, Onkyo or similar and preferably less than 10
years old. Even then, open it up and look for any signs of 'heat stress'
(scorched board or components) and see that it is well ventilated in use.

Just my 2p.......

A DENON PMA250SE would fit the bill nicely if you can find one. Highly
recommended.

I've got one of these. Great sound, very dodgy selector switch. Well worth
checking this out closely on any secondhand amp, along with a scratchy
volume control.
