Need some well screened co-ax 'phono' cable. A quick look at CPC shows
only the usual lapped screen variety. Which I already have.

Basically, I need to run an unbalanced circuit close to some mains
lighting wiring which has a dimmer. And the stuff I have is letting in
buzz.

Tried some RG 59 I have lying around which eliminates the buzz - but I
don't have enough and would prefer a more flexible audio cable.

Happy to buy a reel. It will all get used - eventually.

I'm guessing a braided screen plus perhaps a conductive plastic layer
would be ideal?

Would it be possible to do it the other way and run the mains wiring in
earthed steel conduit for a suitable distance? There are regulations
regarding running signal wiring close to mains wiring anyway so you
shouldn't really be having this problem.

Another possibility would be to convert your audio to balanced, of course.
