Of course. In such a test, I would try the amp at a range of volume
settings, including flat out - the guitar puts out a lot more than the amp's
sensitivity for 20W, so it would be pushed well into overdrive.
Nah, my Celestions have had far worse kickings than a 20W amp can
ever hope to dish out.
I fear for your tweeters... maybe thats why you like vinyl so?
I have nil vinyl. As for tweeters, I'm not talking about Celestion hi-fi
speakers, but the 12" guitar drivers. Like valves (did I say that?), their
charcteristic sound comes to the fore when they're driven into distortion
(did I say that as well?).
