I found that different optical cbales sound different.
I compared a 5 quid cheapo cable between CD player and amp
with a computer grade 50/125 micron multimode fibre.
There was complete silence from the latter!

Next test: some translucent strimmer cable from B&Q. :-)

I might try it when I want a 10m length between rooms.
