Scenario:
Denon AVR-2805 driving Monitor Audio R90 L, R & Surrounds; R180 Centre;
plus
REL Strata (original 60W version) subwoofer in 3m X 4m listening room.
Source material is Music and Movies from Pioneer DV-656A.
Question:
Would it sound better if I replace the Strata with a Quake?
A Storm III would probably be the right upgrade for that system. Had mine
for 3 years & still like it a lot.

I.
Try Titan AE Ice Field, Toy Story II intro, Star Wars Bubble, T2 THX logo.
That'll show up the limitations of the Rel Storm. I know ;-) Sub calibrated
to 85dB, others to 85dB, in a 4m x 4m room, normal listening level at -20dB.
Not really the fault of the Rel, just LFE + re-directed 5.0 bass is recorded
so damn hot that unless you sub overkill yourself you'll just hear
distortion. For 95% of films it's good, no problem with music or concert
DVD's, but if it sounds ****e for that last action movies of 5% it's worth
changing for (or using THX Sub Peak limitor to limit the maximum possible
output regardless of master volume) Brothers Yamaha bottomed out in Star
Wars Bubble. God that sounded ****e :-)
