Thanks Keith G; I think I see what you mean, but that's a bit beyond my
competence. I just zoomed in and did trial-and-error cuts (and 'undo') until
it sounded OK. The fact that it is a 'live' recording, with audience noise,
helps a fair bit. Amazing how that bang just blended into the music,
graphically speaking.

I wouldn't - just chop it as tight as you can.

If that's too easy to hear, insert/substitute a blank clip of
(approximate) equal duration and join up the dots with a fake waveform
that matches as close as is easily doable - then run it by someone who
doesn't know what you've done!
