I have a 1996 Vectra with factory-fitted Philips CAR400

radio-cassette(ISO).
I've added a Blaupunkt 4x25w amp but now I'd like to install a CD/MP3

tuner
as well(still need access to the tapes at the moment). My question is:

is
it
possible to "cascade" the radio-cassette with the CD/MP3 tuner via a
splitter cable or similar?

Not worth the hassle, what are you going to do about speaker or amp
connections?

I was assuming if I had a splitter cable then *everything* would be
duplicated, inc speaker out connections to amp?

The power wouldn't be such a problem as the speaker connections, I have
already looked at this option as I wanted to add a DAB tuner to my existing
system.

So you'd recommend connecting the new MP3 tuner to my amp

Yes.

& using its' own
aux in(I assume that's normally at rear of unit?)
to connect the radio/cassette?

Few have a straight phono input at the rear, but yes via some optional lead
or adaptor and you will be fine.
