I had a mishap and dropped the speaker 2 inches onto a marble floor,

Could it be a number of things or is it just the tweeter is busted, is
there an easy way of finding out, short of moving the good tweeter
into the bad speaker?

I'd be inclined to consider a damaged connection or maybe a loosened
crossover component. Anything rattling around inside the box? It might be
worth taking a driver out (or panel off, etc) to check out the bits inside.
If there's nothing obvious, a tweeter swap should answer your question.

Any idea how i get into the box? Can obviously unscrew the tweeters, but
cannot find a way to get to the crossover.

Can hear something moving inside, but they weigh 20kg's so i'm not shaking
them next to me ear... :-)
