discussing
Bose.

This is only relevent when Bose sell through a retailer of course.
They're perfectly at liberty to charge everyone the same price. Have
they ever threatened a retailer for price-cutting?

**No-one, except Bose retailers can answer that.

Was there a court
case?

**Not yet.

What happened?

**Bose is rarely sold at genuine discounts. That fact implies some kind
of
collusion or retail price maintenance.

You're wriggling now. "Rarely", "implies". No hard facts.

**Here are my original words:

" * Bose products are rarely available at *genuine* discount prices."

It would be foolish of me to state that they are *never* available at
genuine discount prices. Bose often run 'special deals' where consumers
can purchase a Bose product and obtain a second Bose product for 'free'.
Such diso****ing occurs across an entire region, however.

I don't like Bose and their marketing lies either. But let's keep it
real.

**I am. Bose are rarely available at genuine discount prices.

So what? Neither were (are?) BMW car in the UK and Volvo was in trouble
recently for trying to prevent UK buyers getting cars at mainland Europe
prices. There's been many other instances recently of different RSM
practices that I haven't bothered to remember them (supermarket chains
mostly) - it goes on all the time!

Bitching about a company like Bose because it is successful is a bit
queer, in my book...

Envy?

**Nope. Disgust.

The esteem I hold Bose in is pretty much on par with McDonalds. Both
companies market crap. At least McDonalds are not gouging consumers with
nonsensically high prices.
