I've been thinking about getting a demagnetizer to make my old records

one.

This is to go with my old Amstrad stack unit which is in my bedroom. Do
you think it would be a worthwhile buy for me?

It would be a start if you found out what magnetism is.

They must work, Stereophile reviewed the RL-30 record demagnetizer and
it removes the high frequency glaze and harshness from the records.

I believe my records will benefit because they sound harsh playing on my
old Amstrad stack in my bedroom.

What do you think? Stereophile must be telling the truth or they'd not
write the review. eh! For a grand it sounds like a bargain if it
improves the sound on my old Amstrad.
