In the bachelor pad itself, a reel-to-reel machine would be the chief
delivery mechanism for the Bert Kaempfert and James Last. Maybe the
bachelor would even have one of those dinky new Compact Cassette
players.

Must be reel to reel. Revox or Tandberg mounted upright in the
bookshelf at head height.


I feel a Revox is more the choice of the dedicated audio enthusiast, and
the Tandberg of the family man. Don't you think an Akai (one with logic
control, not mechanical controls) would be more appropriate for the
bachelor?
