The start up volume may be set by a link inside the box, which can be either
set to 15 or 30. The CD start up might be a fixture. There is a Wakonda
manual on the Linn site at http://www.linn.co.uk/owners_manuals As I recall
the Wakonda and Magik integrated amp were similar.

Later Linn products are configurable in software and and remember settings.
The Kolektor was very good at that, shame about the sound quality though.
