Compared to LP CD is cheaper, easier to get hold of, easier to store and
play. Furthermore it doesn't require so much care in handling and is
usable in portable and car players.

Compared to all that LP would have to be significantly better in
performance terms to be worth bothering with. Given that it's actually
worse there's no contest IMO.


David no sane person could contest your arguments about the superiority of
CD over LP in many respects but the truth for some of us is nothing beats
putting on a record. It's almost a certainty that virtually every 'vinylist'
has a collection of CDs as well: there are hundreds here in various places
about the house....
