Now look here, I have not had the ability to do it before, but as there is
so much interest in retro stuff these days, this was why I asked.
Lets take another tack here.
The EQ of Tandbergs tended to be different to other machines for some
reasons. I used to have a Sony machine as well and the tapes from that
sounded dull on the Tandberg when it was working.
Its not just head alignment in my view. So if I get a refurbed reell deck of
some sort and use it, am I going to find similar problems or more I wonder.
Has anyone ever done this. Interestingly, i see people seem to have half
track stereo decks still but not the quarter track ones.
