REAL POST New Vintage-Cambridge-Audio group

REAL POST New Vintage-Cambridge-Audio group

Hi.
Well..you don't need 'to register' to download the info - and do know
that more than a few haven't.
You *do need to have an email address to post - but it's easy enough
to create one...

RCA Dynagroove - Exactly what is it?

"I have got about 150 classical LPs.....Some of the RCA discs have the Dynagroove system..."

Er, well - typically only if they were the US releases.
Decca stopped importing Dynagroove stampers...

" I made the assumption that you would have heard of them."
Oh..I've seen a vacuum-cleaner once or twice (not sure about the 'fine-

"So what, if any, would be the difference between using an RCM for
rinsing & vacuuming and simply using a high-pressure hosepipe and a
Dyson
with its fine brush attachment? "
Dunno..not got 'A...

I'd find the Keith Monks RCM useful solely for purposes of rinsing/
vacuuming-off.
Definitely No I-P-A solution being applied by nylon brush onto a
rotating / contaminated disc.
I'd detergent-clean...

Yes, after applying Flash and rinsing I got a glue-like white substance
forming around the circumference.

There is a slight misunderstanding.
It was taking the completed 'full-circle' water...

You don't mention whether you've simply 'wet-played' - or combined
that with a detergent clean.
The fact you reduced the 'battleground effects' indicates that your
Iso-Alcohol method was leaving...

I've 10,000+ LPs - but no RCM. Maybe I should have - but..~5mins to
clean each LP....??
For just 50 LPs there's An Alternative.
