Default Alarm in Mondeo

I've just fitted a Scorpian Predator III alarm to my 1993 mondeo.

It locks the car fine, unlocks fine. However, I don't know which wire to tap
into to activate the door switches. (Otherwise the auto-rearm reactivates
the alarm and locks the car up again!)

Any ideas?

Thanks

The secret is that the driver's door switch is on a separate circuit to the
other three (because it activates the "lights on" warning chime). So you
have to connect the alarm's door trigger to both the driver's door and one
of the other doors which will cover all of them. However use a diode to
isolate the driver's door switch from the other doors so you don't get a
lights-on warning chime when a passenger door is opened.

Ok Paul, thanks for that info... but... which wires do I need to use? Colour
codes if possible?! Locations?

Thanks

Sorry I can't remember the colours, it was years ago I done mine. The
easiest way of doing it is remove the switch from the driver's door pillar,
and connect an additional wire to that. Then feed the wire to one of the
other door switches (any one, the other three are all linked together
anyway), and connect your wire from the driver's door to the other switch.
However don't connect it directly, place a diode between the wire and new
connection with the band pointing towards the driver's door connection.

Finally the alarm trigger should be connected to the "other doors" circuit,
and it will now be activated on any of the doors opening because the
driver's door can trigger the "other doors" circuit, but not vice-versa
meaning you won't get the lights on beeper when a passenger door is opened.
