Default MP3 HU Comparison

OK folks.. need some help in deciding what new MP3 HU I want.

My 3 picks so far a

Clarion DXZ838RMP

Sony CDX-M850MP

Kenwood KDC-M7024

All are round the £220 mark and have similar features and functions.
Any recommendations or discouragements to those units about or are there
any others that I should take a look at.

Any help greatly appreciated... I'll be having a pop into my local
Halfords to see what they have to play with (don't worry I won't be
buying anything there).

Cheers.

I would normally agree with you about Halfords but today I bought an MP3/
CD/Radio from them in there half price sale a - GCE 7350 MP3R for £49.99

I seems like a goog little unit and anyway for that price I thought I would
just try.

Cheers

Steve

and works okay and at that price I am not really bothered.

Aargh! Make me sick, why don't you? Got mine for £99.99, and can't take
it back. :-(

I can't get it to play anything other than track 1 on a disk of MP3's,
ATM. It's more than likely something I did wrong burning the disk,
though. I wasted a few CD-R's because I used lower case letters in file
names. Unless anyone here has a few suggestions, I'll have to contact
Goodmans to see what I'm doing wrong.

If there is something wrong with the HU, then Halfords are obliged to
exchange the unit with a working one ( if thats what you suspect)

or, exchange the Goodmans one (as it is mot working), for another
equivilent, then re-swap it againg for another, cheaped Goodmans -
hopefully you will get the difference back in cash or in vouchers

Good luck...

I understand that, but ATM, I suspect me. :-)

Frankly, the maual is fairly poor when it comes to the MP3 section. For
example, I initially got an "ERROR 2" message, when trying to play MP3's.
Nowhere is that error code, or any other, explained. As I said, I'll
check with Goodmans first, just to be sure.

According to Goodmans, that error code covers various things, so isn't
really very helpful.

check with Goodmans first, just to be sure.

And, as a result, I tried burning my CD's by a different method. All seem
now to be okay. Why doesn't the manual just say "Burn from ISO images",
rather than the waffle they do write in it?
