I've had a kenwood radio/cassette player in the car (99 Passat) for a
while now and am just getting round to buying a cd player. I've seen the
Kenwood w707 which looks as if it does pretty much everything I want but
it's quite new so reviews are thin on the ground.

Anyone have any comments on that cd/receiver or any recomendations
around the £200 price mark? An option to plugin my ipod nano in the
future would also be helpful. Kenwood have an ipod thing at the mo but
it's not nano ready afaik.

That's about as old as units get these days! There'll be another range
early in the new year - the norm these days is a new range once a
year.

Out of interest, what leads you to believe that? We'd like to know
whether this is likely to be the case but, from the info I could find
on Apple's site, it suggested that the nano still uses the same
docking connector - so it should still be compatible with aftermarket
accessories. If you've heard different from anywhere I'd be interested
to know more.

I've read that there is an adaptor that comes with the nano so you can
use existing ipod accessories that connect via the docking connector so
using that the ip500 from kenwood should work. However, the kenwood site
doesn't mention the nano and I wouldn't want to buy the ip500 if it
didn't work, perhaps is the nano software was controlled differently.

We've had a couple of people within the last few days ask the same
thing with the Connects2 Sony interface that we sell - hopefully we
might hear back from one of them soon. If that unit works OK, I'd
assume the Kenwood ought to as well.
