Default Sony HAR-LH500 and XP

Has anyone got the version of M-Crew that comes with the HAR-LH500 (V2.6E)
to work on XP? Mine works ok on a W98 laptop but on the XP machine it causes
a reboot just after the title bar appears, just as the reading starts I
guess.

TIA
Craig

Yes, no problems with crashing. While it worked it was fine. My
machine is fully service packed though, so that may be worth checking.
I've also found (anecdotal, rather than properly tracked down) that
some USB devices don't like other USB devices, so perhaps try it
without any other USB stuff connected.

However it did randomly corrupt most of the files on the HAR-LH500
without warning... Apparently the repaired machine is now ready for
me to collect.

Thanks Tim,

I unplugged my USB Smart Media/ Compact Flash reader and all is well !!!
I read about your troubles, it will be interersting to see what Sony say
about it. I've only had mine a couple of days so apart from M-Crew it's been
OK

Thanks
Craig

OK, I've found one problem, case sensitive searching - that's crap. Is there
a way to get in there and change some settings?
