Default Wireless home system help

Hi

I want to set up a wireless home audio system something along the
lines of...

Main system (turntable/cd/tuner/digital) has fm transmitter that
radio's scattered around house can tune into - the idea being that
these radio's could also tune into regular radio. Am I completely
bonkers? Is this possible? has anyone got any tips? One problem I have
is that my amp - cambridge audio - has no headphone socket so I would
need an FM transmitter that could take a line in some other way.

I would really appreciate a shove in the right direction - even if
that's back to the drawing board

And while we're at it... Wireless speakers? any good? any
recommendations? Not really what I want because I like the idea of
having cute radio's dotted around the place that can be re-tuned at
will rather than ugerly speakers...

Will reward all helpful suggestions with thanks and applause...

Rudy
