Looking for headphone extension lead.

Having now got the Grado headphones, and got them nicely broken in, I
find the lead needs to be a tad longer to suit the position of my
living room furniture.
It only needs to be a couple of metres longer, but I can't find any
extension cables this short anywhere. That, or the one's I can find
are very low quality - like £1.99 on ebay. Most of the hi-fi stores I
can find don't even seem to sell them. Grado do a 10m one though.
I already have a coily extension lead, but this is very old, and the
connections are zinc plated, which tend to crackle and lose connection
now. I also find the coily lead a bit annoying to use, as it tends to
pull on the headphones if you have any kind of tension on it.
I have even considered making my own lead, a pair of decent connectors
at CPC are very cheap, but I have no idea what kind of cable to get.
Any suggestions?
Cheers.
Grado do a good one buy from www.stoneaudio.co.uk
