Default Pioneer CD Changer won't eject

It's a Pioneer CDX-P1230S 12 disc changer - a bit old (6 years or so).

Won't eject the magazine when the eject button is pressed - slight sound
from inside on pressing button suggests it tries to move something to
facilitate the eject, doesn't succeed - then returns to reading discs .

You'd imagine something somewhere is slightly out of alignment.

Does anyone have any experience with fixing this kind of thing?

Any helpful advice much appreciated !

Thanks

Doug
