* The approximate room size and shape.
* The room furnishing (carpeting and lots of soft furnishing with a
dead acoustic or lots of hard reflective surfaces).

The choice of speaker for a heavy metal fan listening in a large room
with lots of soft furnishings would be vastly different to that for a
classical music buff living in a converted swimming pool!
