Which Uni was it at ? Why is that so hard to believe? I claim to have a degree in Electroacoustics, received in 1992. University of Salford. Do you believe me? Martin -- M.A.Poyser Tel.: 07967 110890 Manchester, U.K. http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=fleetie |

. uk... Arny proclaims to have a BA in engineering earned in 1973 Which Uni was it at ? Does it matter? Some well established universities award BAs (for first degrees) whatever the subject studied. e.g. I have a BA in Natural Sciences. -- M Stewart Milton Keynes, UK http://www.megalith.freeserve.co.uk/oddimage.htm |

I've no idea; wouldn't you be better off writing and asking him of you want to know? IIRC, Arny earned a living as a VM systems programmer in the 1980s. We both used to participate on VMSHARE. Of course in those days, if you had a computing technical support job, you had to know what you were doing .... Tim |

BAs in engineering are pretty rare, at least in the US. The reason should be obvious. I also did almost all of the work for a MSE, but the birth of a son intruded, and I never got back to it. Which Uni was it at ? Oakland Unversity - Rochester, Michigan. |

It wasn't that unusual for engineers to end up doing IT in those days. For openers, when I got my BSE, degrees in IT were a fairly new thing. We both used to participate on VMSHARE. Indeed. I also made a number of formal presentations at Share and co-wrote a number of Share requirements. Of course in those days, if you had a computing technical support job, you had to know what you were doing .... ;-) |

Arny collected data on five amplifiers within an 8-hour day and claims to have achieved a positive result as to their differences" Iain |

What *were* you saying? The discussion looked interesting. Is a full transcript available? Iain |
