Dave, tell me more about these. not familiar with them. Do remember
Orthophon of yore but been a long time since involved in this area.
They're ancient carts dating back to before the days of CD, but I had a
few good ones lying around, and since now prefer CD my LPs only get
occasional plays. It could well be there are better modern replacements.
Indeed I'd bet there are.
I moved from the SL15E through Denon 103D and a Fidelity Research
MC202 to my present A-T OC9, which is one of the most neutral carts
I've ever heard. The Ortofon has a distinctly warmer sound, which you
may of course prefer.
