So you agree that the BBC should have lowered the audio quality
on DAB to the level that they did? Right, okay Tony, when did you
change your mind about this then?
Which bit of the previous posts is that mentioned Steve cos I
can't find it but this thread has wandered around a bit or less
.
Certainly no change of tune re BBC Dabble here. Processing is
however another can of worms;!...
Here's the post where I disagreed with Serge on various points:
snipped a bit
See where you disagree, but quite a lot of this is equally valid
opinion
Sorry Tony, but I've seen you slag off the way the BBC has screwed up
DAB on many occasions, so either you've now completely changed your
tune, which you say you haven't, or you're just sticking up for Serge
because you seemingly know him.
Yes I do know Serge, but this argument is/was /seems more about their
"public service" remit which seems to be a case of can't please all of
the people all of the time.
********.
Pardon?, 'ave a bit of respect 4 yer elders

As to DABble bit rates nothing has changed there, except that I now
view it as something little better than medium wave on yer radio.
What the BBC has done with DAB is indefensible, and Serge seems to
have swallowed the BBC's party line hook, line and sinker.
Doubt if he has. He has however been in the broadcast supply industry
a bloody long time and has very high professional standards
Tony, on the one hand you're agreeing with me about the audio quality on
DAB, and on the other hand you're agreeing with Serge, who was
justifying the BBC's actions. Which one do you agree with, Tony? You
can't agree with both of us because they're opposite sides of the coin.
Unless I much mistaken, or have interpreted it wrong, that argument
seems to me to have more about the "Public service remit of the BBC" and
what it should be than DAB quality.
However as part of what the BBC should do/ does/ or ought to do, is to
deliver the best in class signals to its listeners.
But then again this is what an argument is a difference of interpreting
things surely?????...
