OK Martin, how's this for a bright idea?

http://www.apah69.dsl.pipex.com/item...emsforsale.htm

If you post prices you scare people off, if you (I, not 'you') don't post
prices you (you, not 'I') start moaning at me! So I've turned my For Sale
page into a mini *non eBay auction* - people email me with a 'maximum bid'
and either win there and then or I say 'Reserve Not Met'!! (They either bid
again or simply bugger off!!)

No hassle, no eBay palaver (feedback ********) and my Reserve Prices will
obviously fluctuate with the wind direction on any given day - ie, if I get
a good result on one item, the next one could be *very* barginacious. I know
roughly what I want back ('course I bloody do) but some days will have me
keener to shift stuff than others and I only want an overall return, until I
have moved enough stuff outta tha house!! :-)

What do you think - brilliant idea or does it suck?

(Could it be the end of eBay proper, as we know it?? :-)
