I'm in the market for a separates system with a budget of approx £1000.
That seems to be pocket money to many of you here, but it will be the
most I've spent on a system to date. What I will need is:

1) Integrated amplifier
2) DAB/FM tuner (extra bands welcome)
3) CD player
4) Pair of floor-standing speakers

If you want a sound that blow you away and dont mind ebaying for secondhand
and droppong the radio, have a look on ebay for:

1) Naim Nait 3 Amp
2) Naim CD3 or 3.5
4) Linn, Epos or Mission speakers

And have a look for a Denon TU260 MK2 tuner (No DAB) and you can have
radio addend in at very good quality for very little money, and yes
second user equipment can offer very good value for money!

I recently won the above for less than a grand and am so happy, that i'm
going to shell out 5k for some new Naim stuff.

The quality secondhand gear will far surpass your wildest expectations is
built to last, so dont worry too much on that front.

I wouldn't
