No problem both - I'll post them on a web page at the w/e.

My main question is how to connect speaker cable for bridging? I suspect after puting mono switch across connect to two reds, right? OR is it red one channel black other channel?
Other question, is there a bias adjustment at the pots to fine tune?
Many thanks in advance.
I am fully conversant with designing and building valve amplifiers. know nothing about BJT designs.

I seem to be having some problems with fetching the above list of files.
The fetches seem to terminate prematurely, typically after just over 350 kb
for a file have been downloaded. Tried connecting at various times, and
using two different browsers, with the same problem.
Curious - I've just tried again (and put up a pic - 350KB if you click
on it) and it seems OK.
I have managed to get the first three files OK, but as yet have been unable
to get a complete copy of the final two.
I'll email them to you if you like - I know you haven't go broadband, so
be prepared for clogged up internet for a few minutes if you'd like them
sent.
Also, the final file is reported by software as being a 1660kb total.
My mistake - I did manage to get it down to 1MB at one point but the
quality wasn't too good. I saved the files as pdf from the scanner and
compressing pdfs is tricky, lesson learned etc.

I'll try again this morning as it may have been a temporary snag. I'll then
report back to say how I got on. I managed to get the first three files -
although the third one took me a few tries before I managed to fetch the
complete file before the connection ended.
[Just tried again at 10:10 GMT before sending this posting. As before, the
connection ended before the complete file had been sent. I tried fetching
the JPEG photo, and this was fine. I am wondering if there is something
odd about the server as I've noticed something else. The PDFs are not
filetyped correctly once the transfer ends. This is the case for those
which have transferred completely as well as the partial attempts. Yet
PDFs from elsewhere are filetyped OK. The JPEG also filetyped OK.
Perhaps the server isn't declaring the details exactly correctly?
Anyway, yes, I'd appreciate it Rob if you could email me the last
two files. Sorry for the bother.]

Jim

Jim, I just tried from here and they all came through with no
problems. I know this doesn't help you much, but it isn't the server.

That's strange. The server is (I'd assume) Google - it's one of their
free hosting things called Page Creator.
Filetype is a utility on your OS? I can only guess that the file gets
'mashed' in transfer, unless there's something up with the native PDF
tool in Mac OS X. At my end it says 'created by Canon' (the scanner);
'encoded by Mac OS X 10.4.8 Quartz PDFContent'. The fact verification
failed on the completed files does make me wonder. So much for universal
file types ;-)
Anyway, yes, I'd appreciate it Rob if you could email me the last

Under RO the filetype is a file attribute which is set quite independently
of the name. 'Extensions' like '.pdf' or '/pdf' as used on other OSs can be
optional. However when transferring files via the net, a MIME map allows
the filetypes to be set automatically,
Hence when I download a PDF from web servers which declare the file type to
be 'pdf' the result would be typed 'pdf' on my machine regardless of any
extension to the name. The server will tell my machine/browser the file
details before the actual transfer
But with the PDF files from your server this does not seem to work as
normal. Works OK for the jpeg, though. This is what makes me wonder if the
http info being sent isn't quite standard. May be a deviation which
software on other OSs are happy with.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the files as such. The machines
simply seem to decide after about 370kb that the transfer is complete,
regardless of the files actually being longer. No idea why this is
happening. I can't recall it doing so before, but I will now investigate
elsewhere. Not a browser problem as I tried two completely different
browsers. May be a connection software problem which I've not fallen over
before.
Anyway, yes, I'd appreciate it Rob if you could email me the last two
