Hi Ian
(first post so hope I do it right).
I have been quoted on a couple of racks from Studioracks and wonder if you had anything made and if it turned out OK? I also had prices from 2 local joinery companies both were more expensive than studioracks and I will have to add my own rack strips.
Advise appreciated

I want to have some custom designed studio furniture built. Nothing
fancy,
just something to take my AKAI DPS24 and a pair of matching mobile
racks.
I'll need a shelf above the AKAI for an LCD monitor, and shelves above
the
rack for monitors.

I have already made contact with
www.studioracks.co.uk who seem very
capable
but I was wondering if there are any similar companies?

Cheers

Yes I had two custom racks and a matching custom table made by
studioracks. I have to say they provide a first class product and a
first class service. I say they, but studioracks is really one guy,
John. We had a long discussion by email about what I wanted. I made
sketches, scanned them and emailed them to him. Finally we talked on the
phone to finalise the details. He also sent me some veneer samples so I
could better choose the finish. He then orders the wood and veneer and
it is not until he starts work that you send the money. Just over a week
later it arrived. it was so well packed that it took me nearly half a
day to unpack it. Some simple assembly was required and a short while
after I had some beautiful studio furniture. Here are some pictures
taken part way through filling the racks.

Overall I am delighted and I have no hesitation in recommending them

Cheers
