Watched/listened/recorded via DTTV BBC2TV. Thoroughly enjoyed the Walton
and Beethoven. May have to try again to see if I can come to terms with the
interpretation of the Elgar. As discussed in the interval, I am one of
those 'too acclimatised' to the du Pre/Barbirolli versions, etc, to find
this one easy to warm to. But a very enjoyable concert broadcast. Looking
forwards to the other concerts on DTTV BBC4. :-)

As it happens, it has just come around now to this part of the world, almost
antipodean, commonwealth NZ. I am just waiting for the Betthoven to start.
Dodgy reception; haven't been terribly enamoured so far, but nice to hear!
Don't know how it was recorded, but this from Concert FM.
