Grado or Sennheiser

Hi guys,

I am an avid listener of jazz (low bass) and so far have been
listening using $50 TDK headphones. I am planning to go shopping for
something like a grado or sennheiser or bose.

Any suggestions on what technical specs I should be aware of would be
of great help. My budget is around AUD $200-$300.
